145 Alive will be going ahead on Saturday 7th February 2026
This time around there will be both FM and SSB operations in place due to popular demand and to check what that level of demand actually is.
Back in October 2025, we had some excellent Tropospherical conditions and i managed to make a 2m contact into spain from the south coast of England. Conditions wont be as good this time around but that will not stop us from having a good time.
I (2E0TPH) will be operating SSB from either Portland Heights or from Hardys Monument using a TR-9000 and a small amplifier into a vertical "White Stick" antenna sat on top of a 10m (33ft) mast. At the last event we (myself and John, M3YTQ) managed to log around 63 stations on FM in the alloted 3 hour event. We done extrememly well with most of the country south of Manchester being able to work us!
